Early Morning 5.1 Earthquake Rocks Costa Rica
A 5.1 on the Richter Scale earthquake rocked Costa Rica's Pacific coast this morning at 6:47am.
The epicentre was located in the areas of Samara. The exact location of the tremor is 9.894°N, 85.272°W and a depth of 46 7 km (29 miles)
No reports of injuries or damage were reported.
The Observatorio Vulcanológico y Sismológico de Costa Rica (OVSICORI) reports 5.1, while the United States Geological Survey’s (USGS) Earthquake Hazards Program reports a magnitude of 4.8.
Last Thursday, a 6.1 quake rocked the country. That quake was centred off the coast of Quepos and felt countrywide.
